Jaguar I-Pace Charging guide
The Jaguar I-Pace is Jaguar’s first fully electric car and one of the most recognisable premium electric vehicles on UK roads.
Designed from the ground up as an EV, the I-Pace blends sporty performance with SUV practicality, making it a strong option for drivers moving into the electric car world.
As a long-range electric vehicle, the Jaguar I-Pace supports both home EV charging and public charging, giving EV drivers the flexibility to charge at home, at work, or on the UK’s growing network of charging stations.
Below is a complete guide to the Jaguar I-Pace, covering EV range, battery capacity, charging speeds, rapid charging options and available versions.
There are three versions of the Jaguar i-pace so far:

What is the electric range of the Jaguar I-Pace?

The electric range of the Jaguar I-Pace is competitive for a premium electric SUV and suitable for both daily driving and long-distance journeys.
Under the WLTP test cycle, all three generations of the Jaguar I-Pace have a rated range of up to 292 miles
In real-world driving, most EV drivers can expect an EV range of around 230 to 260 miles from a full charge. Actual range will vary depending on speed, weather, driving style and use of heating or air conditioning.
For many drivers, the I-Pace offers more than enough long range capability for commuting, weekend trips and motorway driving.
Charging the Jaguar I-Pace

Like most modern electric car the Jaguar I-Pace uses a Type 2 connector for AC electric car charging and a CCS connector for DC rapid charging and ultra rapid charging.
This makes it compatible with the vast majority of public charging stations across the UK, including supermarket chargers, motorway service areas, workplace charge points and city centre car parks.
The Jaguar InControl app helps drivers locate nearby charging networks, monitor existing charge levels and manage car charging remotely.
How fast can the Jaguar I-Pace charge when using a home EV charger?

Using a dedicated 7.4kW home EV charger, the Jaguar i-pace can charge from zero to full in around 12 to 13 hours. Do keep in mind however that you will almost never need to charge from empty and that most EV drivers will plug their car in every night to recoup the miles used throughout the day.
The I-Pace also supports 11 kW AC charging when connected to a three-phase power supply, reducing charging time to around 8 to 9 hours. However, three-phase power is uncommon in UK homes.
For most electric car owners, a 7.4 kW home charger offers the best balance of charging speed, cost and convenience.

What Home EV chargers work best with the Jaguar I-Pace?

The Jaguar I-Pace is compatible with all Type 2 tethered home chargers as well as all untethered chargers, making it easy to choose a charge point that suits your home and lifestyle.
Unfortunately as of writing, the Jaguar i-pace is not compatible with smart EV tariffs like Intelligent Octopus Go or OVO charge anytime, meaning you will need a home charger that is compatible with these tariffs if you want to use them. Be sure check our cost to charge tool for the latest information on compatibility.

How fast can the Jaguar I-Pace charge at a rapid charging station?

For longer journeys, the Jaguar I-Pace supports DC rapid charging at speeds of up to 100 kW.
Using compatible rapid or ultra rapid chargers, the I-Pace can typically charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 40 minutes. This adds approximately 170 to 190 miles of range, depending on conditions.
While newer electric cars may offer higher peak charging speeds, the I-Pace delivers consistent performance across many public charging locations, making it a reliable choice for long-distance EV travel.
How many versions of the Jaguar I-Pace are there?

Unlike some electric cars, the Jaguar I-Pace is offered with a single battery and motor configuration, but several trim levels are available:
Jaguar I-Pace S
Jaguar I-Pace SE
Jaguar I-Pace HSE
All versions share the same battery, range and charging capability, with differences mainly in interior features, technology and styling.
What are the specifications of the Jaguar I-Pace?

The Jaguar I-Pace is built on a dedicated electric platform and features dual electric motors, delivering all-wheel drive as standard.
This setup provides strong acceleration, excellent traction and a smooth driving experience. Combined with a premium interior and advanced driver assistance systems, the I-Pace stands out in the electric car market.
