Volkswagen e-Up! Home Charging Guide

Forget the jokes about this sounding as though it was built in Yorkshire! VW’s e-Up! offers all-electric driving in a well-sorted compact package. The original e-Up! has a 18.7kWh battery pack offering around 83 miles range. The e-Up! was upgraded for 2020 with a larger battery and more range, but you can still get the original on the used market.

Charging the 18.7kWh Volkswagen e-Up! will take about five hours to charge from empty to full when using a 7.4kW charger at home. There is also rapid charging functionality giving you an 80% recharge in around 24 minutes if you can access a 50kW public rapid charger.
