Smart EQ forfour Home Charging Guide

The Smart Forfour EQ makes excellent use of its 80bhp electric motor and 17.6kWh battery for a real world range of about 60 miles. Performance is adequate with a 0-62 mph time of 12.7 seconds, though the instant response of an EV will make it feel quicker.

Charging time for the Smart EQ forfour is about three hours using a standard 7.4kW home charge point. There's no rapid charger connection, but you can upgrade to a 22kW on-board charger which means you'll get an empty to full charge in just 55 minutes - though you'll need three-phase electricity supply at home.
