As part of Peugeot's image overhaul, the 308 SW 180 e-EAT8 was given a redesign and now has styling features more reminisent of a sports car than a family estate which is no bad thing. Under the bonnet sits an 81kW electric motor powered by a 12.5kWh battery, which allows the 308 SW PHEV to travel up to 36 miles on pure electric power. Once the charge on the battery runs out, the 180hp engine petrol engine kicks in to keep you going.
Charging the Peugeot 308 Hybrid 180 from zero to full using a 7.4kW charger varies depending on whether you chose to upgrade the onboard charger to 7.4kW from 3.7kW. If you don't upgrade the onboard charger, a full charge will take just under four hours while the upgraded version will take just under two hours.
