Peugeot3008 Plug-In Hybrid (2020) electric chargers
13.2 kWh battery
Vehicle type Plug-In Hybrid
Connector type 2
Range 30 miles of electric driving
Charge speed 7 miles per hour
Bigger than the e-2008 SUV/crossover, the 3008 Plug-In Hybrid offers a lot more space and practicality and is available in three trims – the Allure Hybrid, the GT Line Hybrid and the four-wheel drive GT Line Hybrid4.
All versions are equipped with a 13.2kWh battery offering a pure electric driving range of 30 miles. Using a dedicated home charge point, the car could be charged in under two hours using a 7.4kWh charger (if using the optional on-board Peugeot charger upgrade).
Combined with the 1.4-litre petrol engine, this Peugeot SUV provides 225hp (or 300hp in the Hybrid4) which amounts to an impressive 0-62mph time of 6.5 seconds.
In terms of practicality, Peugeot has added some genuinely useful features such as the two-tier boot floor. The boot floor can be adjusted to have a flat loading area for convenience and makes it easier to load bulky items into the car with the seats down. The boot floor could also be lowered to increase capacity (without the seats folded down) to 591 litres.
Charging at home
You can find full details of how long it takes to charge this vehicle from empty to full using a 7.4kW home charge point at the bottom of this page.
However, it's important to note that most electric car charging is done overnight when you're asleep (so you wake up to a charged vehicle) and it's very unlikely you will ever need to charge the battery from completely empty to completely full. So, in reality, most drivers will only need to "top up" their car's battery overnight - for example, from 50% to 80%.
We tested how often the average driver would need to charge each week using the Jaguar GO I-PACE app. See how we got on in this video.
