Volkswagen Multivan goes on sale

Volkswagen’s Multivan is now available to order – and for the first time in this market segment, VW is offering a Plug-in Hybrid option.
We first reported on the replacement for the Caravelle late last year. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, it seats seven and has more than 25 driver assistance programmes.
Special launch edition - Energetic - starts from £59,515 for the standard overhang version, and is available only with the 1.4 TSI eHybrid 218 PS option. Additions include a Harmon Kardon sound system, privacy glass, 18in alloys, and a panoramic glass roof. A longer version costs from £60,865.
What about the "normal" models?
Regular models start with the Life range, which in standard form costs £48,835 and £50,185 in long, while the Style – which adds Digital Cockpit Pro, electric sliding doors and tailgate, plus heated front seats, windscreen and steering wheel, starts at £59,035 for the standard version, and £60,385 for the long.
When can I expect it?
Deliveries are due to begin in March, but to tempt you further, VW is offering finance deals from as little as £399 per month for a Multivan Life 1.4 eHybrid 218PS 6-Speed DSG based on a 36 month, 10,000 mile per annum scheme.
