Skoda adds sporty trim to Enyaq range

Skoda is adding a new SportLine trim to its all-electric Enyaq SUV line, featuring a lower ride, bigger wheels and black detailing.
The new offering adds to the five existing trim levels – Loft, Lodge, Lounge, Suite, and EcoSuite.
This offers a range of 323 miles and power is delivered by a single 150kW electric motor. There is also a more powerful “80x” version, which uses the same battery pack, but features twin electric motors to deliver 195kW and a slightly lower range of 311 miles.
While range and power differ slightly in the Enyaq iV SportLine, the main changes are visual.
The lower ride height and black detailing are reminiscent of the Enyaq Founders Edition, which has a limited production run and also features a more aggressive look.
The SportLine chassis has been lowered by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear.
At the front, the bold grille is intact but black detailing gives it a more assertive look. Window frame, roof rails, rear bumper diffuser and badges are also in black.
The larger 20-inch alloy wheels help to give the Enyaq SportLine a bulkier look, particularly with its lower ride height.
Full LED Matrix headlights are included as standard. Each module, which features 24 LEDs, can be controlled individually so drivers can keep high beam on without dazzling other drivers according to Skoda.
Inside the SportLine edition includes black sports seats with integrated headrests.
Prices for the UK are yet to be announced, but expect this to be upwards of the previous range topper - the £40,000 Enyaq iV 80 EcoSuite – and the limited edition Founders Edition which costs £46,995.
Deliveries for the Skoda Enyaq iV are expected in summer 2021.
