Renault Zoe scoops Auto Express award

The Renault Zoe has been awarded Affordable Electric Car of the Year at the Auto Express New Car Awards 2020.
The awards celebrate the best new cars across 26 categories, with this year’s ceremony streamed online.
The Renault Zoe, which has been extensively revised for 2020 including a range increase to 245 miles, won the Affordable Electric Car of the Year award.
The judges were impressed with the Zoe’s high levels of equipment and driveability. Editor-in-chief at Auto Express Steve Fowler said:
"The ZOE really came of age in its move to this second-generation model, and for lots of reasons. Thanks to its 50kWh battery, it offers up to 245 miles of range, which is more than EVs costing far more, and it bolsters this performance with a strong charging capability. Yet if you don’t need that, cheaper models are available. It’s quiet, smooth, practical and packed with tech, making it the best affordable EV on the market."
The newest Renault Zoe has seen several changes including styling tweaks to the exterior and a revision to the interior and in-car entertainment system. The new 50kWh battery offers an impressive range of 245 miles with prices starting from £26,995 including the Government plug-in car grant.
