Peugeot, Vauxhall & Citroen EVs get 100,000-mile roadside plan

Groupe PSA is extending its roadside assistance plan on full electric cars to eight years or 100,000 miles.
The group includes Peugeot, Vauxhall, Citroen, and DS, with the new extended roadside assistance plan matching the eight-year/100k mile warranty on electric car batteries.
Groupe PSA confirmed that all its cars and light commercial vehicles will be available as a fully electric or hybrid option by 2025 and will include the eight-year/100k mile roadside assistance plan, which covers drivers for home and roadside repairs, as well as vehicle recovery.
The roadside assistance plan also covers running out of fuel or charge. Electric cars will either be given a short charge at the roadside or will be recovered to the nearest suitable charge point.
The cover applies to the group’s latest EVs and plug-in hybrids such as the Peugeot e-208, Vauxhall Corsa-e, Grandland X Hybrid4 and the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense.
Richard Dyson, Groupe PSA Parts and Service Director UK, said the move will give drivers even more confidence in fully electric cars:
“We are pleased to extend the roadside cover on our new generation of electrified models to eight years or 100,000 miles. Electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles represent the fastest growing vehicle segment in the UK. With more buyers looking to make the switch, we hope this initiative will give first-time electric car buyers the peace of mind they’re looking for.”
