Nissan unveils larger e-NV200 van with 90% more load space

Nissan is due to launch a larger e-NV200 van that boasts increased loading capacity and providing a flexible alternative for last-mile delivery.
Dubbed the e-NV200 XL Voltia, the new van is a collaboration between Nissan and engineering firm Voltia.
The new model is based on the existing e-NV200 hence the similar appearance albeit with a box extension on top and to the back.
While loading capacity is now at 8m3 , it does mean a reduction in maximum payload (about 120kg less than the standard e-NV200) due to the extra weight. The 1.22m wide load bay is the same so it can still transport two Euro pallets.
Range is likely to take a hit as the e-NV200 XL Voltia keeps the same 40kWh battery. The standard e-NV200 has a range of 124 miles, but the larger loading capacity could mean, in theory, fewer trips between destinations.
As well as standard AC connections for charging at home or the workplace, the e-NV200 XL Voltia also has CHAdeMO rapid charging capability of up to 50kW which should provide a full charge within 60 minutes.
Prices for the UK are due to be announced nearer the time of launch.
