New cheaper Audi e-tron 50 now on sale
Audi has updated its e-tron line-up to include the new entry-level model, which starts from £59,900.
The e-tron 50 was announced in 2019 as a more affordable option for Audi’s fully electric e-tron 55 SUV. Many features remain the same, but the most significant change is a reduction in the number of electric motors – down to two. The battery is also smaller at 71kWh.
The changes mean a lighter, less powerful vehicle and also a shorter range at 190 miles (WLTP) but also one that has a cheaper list price.
The Audi e-tron 50 is available in the new Technik trim, as well as Sport and S line variants, all of which sit below the initial Launch Edition.
The Technik comes with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, LED headlamps, as well as heated and electrically adjustable seats.
The upgraded Sport models start from £62,600, which adds a different set of alloys, leather seats and wireless phone charging. The top-of-the-line S Line has a more aggressive body style, features larger 21-inch alloys, privacy glass and Matrix LED headlamps, and starts from £66,700.
The Launch Edition starts from £72,700 and includes a full-length panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable steering column, 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise and rear-view cameras instead of traditional wingmirrors as standard.
Audi is also including a 7kW home wall box charger as standard, meaning owners can get a full charge from a depleted battery in 10.5 hours,
