Kia Soul EV Maxx replaces First Edition model
Kia has introduced the new Maxx trim option on its all-electric Soul EV, replacing the First Edition model in the UK.
The quirky-looking Soul EV has had an all-electric option for a while and, like many other electric models, it launched with a limited-run “First Edition” trim.
These editions often feature top-end equipment, unique visual elements, as well as extra paint options.
But “First Edition” by its very nature can only last so long, especially with a limited production run meaning many customers can miss out.
The new Kia Soul EV Maxx replaces the First Edition, giving customers who missed out in the early days an opportunity to get their hands on a high-spec version of the all-electric SUV.
Starting from £34,945, or £32,445 with the Government Plug-in car grant, the Maxx edition of the Soul EV is the first to feature the new Kia logo inside and out.
It also includes 17-inch alloys, black leather interior, heated front seats and steering wheel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
Two new metallic paint options are available – Snow White Pearl (standard) and optional two-tone Inferno Red with black roof. Other two-tone options, including Quartz Black with Red and Neptune Blue with Black are still available.
The Kia Soul EV Maxx features the same large 64kWh battery pack as the First Edition, meaning it will travel up to 280 miles on a single charge.
First deliveries of the Soul EV Maxx are expected in Autumn 2021 and will include the a seven-year/100-000-mile warranty.
