DS 3 Crossback E-Tense EV increases its WLTP range
Newly developed heat pump now offers increased efficiency
When the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense first went on sale in 2019, it offered a fully charged WLTP range of 199 miles. Now, though, it seems the company has been busy on further development of the electric vehicle and managed to increase that WLTP combined cycle range to 212 miles.
While undergoing intense development, the heat pump came in for improvement, and now with a moisture sensor added to it, the efficiency has been considerably increased. Heat generated from the pump by compressing hot air reduces energy consumption and is offered as standard on the EV.
Plus, with the addition of 17-inch Continental tyres that features a new compound developed with silica technology, the vehicle now offers a much-improved rolling resistance while also reducing noise levels. The all-electric DS 3 Crossback E-Tense has a starting price of £31,500 on the road, including the Government plug-in grant.
